What Does An OT Do?

  • Works closely with the family to determine concerns and goals for therapy

  • Helps the child become independent in daily activities

  • Focuses on fine motor skills, visual motor skills and participation in self-care skills (self-feeding, dressing, brushing teeth, toileting, bathing)

  • Works on Infant development (tummy time, rolling, crawling, walking)

  • Uses sensory integration therapy as needed

  • Works on social-emotional development

  • Can perform feeding therapy for feeding disorders and/or picky eating
